 Bushcraft and Survival training, by their very nature, should not require us to spend a vast fortune upon our gear – flexibility and multiplicity being our guide not fashion nor flare. We do not need the latest gizmos or gadgets (during the stress of a survival situation our fine motor skills are greatly reduced).
Instead we should be looking for simple yet sound clothing and gear, equipment which promises to be as tough as the training we intend to put ourselves through. Here, as in so many cases when relating to the bushcraft world the old Military acronym K.I.S.S (Keep it simple stupid) should be our credo.
