Swedish Army 40L Rucksack. These excellent, traditional rucksacks give the bushcrafter an instant image of being an old hand through their aesthetically pleasing lines. But don't be deceived these are totally functional rucksacks, hard wearing and comfortable to use pieces of kit hence their popularity among the old hands of the bushcraft world.

Part of their popularity is that they have many advantages over the modern plastic rucksack in as much as the canvas can be waterproofed (a free block of Greenland wax is provided for this) and also the leather remains supple and will not get brittle and snap in cold weather as many plastic buckles are likely to do.

Also the thrifty bushcrafter can adapt the leather straps and belt to suit their own needs and comfort level, punching holes for carabineer's or sewing on loops for axes or your knife for example. Also being leather and canvas it means the bushcrafter can repair, replace or add items in a traditional manner - nothing says you're a seasoned outdoorsman than a rucksack with a war story and the scares to prove it!

Leather loops on the side and bottom for additional gear.

Comes complete with free block of fjallraven Greenland wax for optional waterproofing is desired.

Canvas and leather with an external frame, these are genuine army surplus graded items and as such show signs of wear and usage.
