Started in 1947, Arthur Wrights is a traditional Sheffield knife manufacturer - their knives are still individually hand crafted by apprentice trained Sheffield Cutlers, using methods passed down from generation to generation. Wrights are the manufactures of the Genuine British Army knife and the Sykes Fairburn - two knives of military history and high degree.

For those of us old enough to remember a childhood in the 60's Wrights sheath knives were also the tool of choice for every budding scout and bushcrafter!

Below we have drawn together the best of the Wrights range for the bushcrafter, as such you can rest assured that whether you opt for the now classic Bushcraft style knife, the stainless steel boat knife or the beautiful and historic green river knife you will be getting not only a excellent cutting tool but one, which is hand made in Britain, in the traditional way.

BACKWOODS KNIFE
This Backwoods style knife is now a bushcraft classic. Its spear point blade and full tang make it a robust yet very practical tool - made from 01 Carbon Steel the blade is hardened to Rockwell 56/58 and then "through ground" to provide an excellent cutting edge. Each tool is hand made in Sheffield, England and comes with a hand crafted leather sheath with the customary fire steel loop.

Green River Knife
Back in the days of the fur trade, The "Green River knife works" manufactured cutting tool which the trappers and traders of that era knew to be the best tools possible - giving rise to the old saying "Up to the Green River" meaning to bury the blade to the hilt or the makers stamp in the game being butchered.
And it is here that the green river knife excels a traditional no nonsense frontier style knife with a blade profiled for work as both a game prep and fishing knife being swaged pointed and having jimping on one edge. Coming complete with rose wood scales that are carved with finger grips on one side and held firmly in place by three solid brass rivets this is a tool ideal for any outdoors or field sportsman.

BOATING KNIFE
Similar to the Green River Knife, but with a clipped STAINLESS STEEL Bowie style 110mm blade the boating knife is the water bound outdoorsman's choice. Ideal for the coastal forager and fisherman the boating knife would also make a great addition to the yachtsman's grab bag to ensure it's always there in an emergency.
